How to Lead Your Childcare Center Staff With Compassion

  • October 16, 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic has been an excruciatingly difficult time for early education leaders. Many directors have been challenged to lead and manage their staff during this time. In a recent webinar, Cori Berg joined us to discuss how directors can have awareness of their employees fears during this time, the challenging situations this may produce, and using compassion to build bridges.

Cori Berg is an experienced Early Childhood Education Specialist and Manager with over 20 years of experience in the field of early education, serving as a teacher, administrator, and teacher trainer. She has worked in faith-based private preschool, public preschool, and private elementary schools. Cori’s professional interests include training teachers on research-based child development and guidance practices, supporting the needs of parents with young children, children’s worship, and the incorporation of the arts in emerging literacy and math. Her passion reflects being there for others. In 2020, she was named Director of the Year by the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children (TXAEYC). She is currently the Executive Director at Hope Day School in Dallas, Texas and is an Educational Consultant and can be found at ECE from the Heart with Cori Berg on Facebook.  To watch the full webinar, click the video below.
