As the children in your care grow, you know how important it is to track their progress through the developmental milestones they meet. From rolling over to taking their first steps, a lot of infants’ growth happens in a short period of time. With all of these important milestones, it’s important to track and celebrate them while sharing them with their families.
To help see if they’re on track, Kangarootime created a template that allows you to check off specific milestones for your infants aged between 2-6 months. These milestones are outlined by the CDC. Of course, every child is different and may meet certain milestones at different times. Use this template as a guide for child development and add your own milestones as needed. You can share this template and progress updates with the child’s parent so they can follow along. Once the child has completed a milestone, be sure to celebrate their accomplishment and discuss future goals and activities with their family. These templates are a great way to connect families to their child’s development while they’re in your center’s care.
